Kereru and Puriri Tree Top
The kererū is a large bird with irridescent green and bronze feathers on its back. Their favourite foods are the berries of trees like the puriri, miro and taraire and fruit from karaka, nikau, tawa, titoki, and kahikatea and often these trees depend on kererū for the distribution of their seat.
